Cellars without Doors Degustation Dinner

The ultimate
“meet the winemaker” event which also serves as the Gourmet Festival The
opening dinner of the Clare Valley Gourmet Festival. South Australian Chef of
the Year Nicola Palmer will design a six course, individually plated
degustation dinner to match Clare Valley wines from wineries without Cellar
Doors. This event gives the opportunity to small and hobby winemakers to
present their wines. The evening will start with Sparkling Riesling and
Canapes, and end with dessert paired to Wendouree Muscat of Alexandria - from
the best known of all Clare Wineries without a Cellar Door. In between there
will be five courses matched with outstanding Riesling, Shiraz, Cabernet and
maybe a surprise or two. To be held in the Watervale Hotel Beer Garden, under
cover and with warmth from heaters and fire-pits, but warm clothing is
recommended. The wines will be available to buy on the night. Each dish is paired
with food curated by Chef of the Year Nicola Palmer and Watervale Hotel team.
The dinner is
served under cover in the beer garden. Whilst the firepits will be burning it
is best to dress to keep warm.
